Our datacenter is classified as a Tier 3 facility. By definition, this means we have multiple active power and cooling systems, all of our networking backbone equipment units have redundant siblings, and our datacenter is providing clients with at least 99.982% availability.
Connectivity is always a main area of concern for our clients, which is why Smith & Hammaker has partnered with multiple carriers to provide our clients with redundant and distinct paths to the internet. All of our connections to the outside run over a fiber connected network and have been up and active, without interruption, since 2007.
Our datacenter is just over 2000 sq.ft. and is secured by video surveillance, key-fob and biometric access on the doors, and security fencing. As an added measure of security, our building is “unmarked” as to not draw attention to our business area.
We can provide you with numerous and custom co-location projects from full and half racks, down to a few “U’s” per rack. We can provide you with power, cooling, and connectivity choices as you see fit.
As well, we have the ability to host physical or virtual appliances because of our 100% virtual environment, running VMware ESX.
All co-location plans include:
- Minimum of one (100) Mbps of redundant bandwidth
- From 8 to 32 IP addresses (depending on space)
- One (1) Gigabit network drop
- Partial rack plans include from 1500W to 2000W of power
- Full rack plans include one (1) 20 AMP outlet
- Free reboots during normal business hours
Our building does not share tenant space with anyone else; our standalone location is owned and operated by Smith & Hammaker, Inc.
